Responsibilities:
• Provide technical advice,support and action as appropriate within the Maintenance Execution team in solving faults arising on meter equipment as per the MIE process.
• Provide Control & Automation discipline assistance to direct the engineering and maintenance activities of the Asset team to achieve the business targets.
• Assist in hosting vendor visits and ensure that recommendations from vendors are followed up in order to keep DCS/IPS and F&G systems healthy and compliant to standards.
• Provide technical advice and support to operational teams while troubleshooting and problem solving of referred items
• Ensure availability of critical spare parts throughout the field’s life cycle.
• Provide support for the raising of C&A contracts.
• Ensure that performance standards of Safety Critical Elements are available and that performance assurance activities are well managed.
• Provide the required support/input to the Integrity Activity Planning process.
• Provide effective and efficient support to work preparation process.
Implement improvement proposals to plant,systems or practices.
• Assist in audits on discipline maintenance and engineering practices to ensure compliance with existing procedures and identify where additional controls are required
• Implement necessary procedures for maintenance and engineering activities.
• Assist in carrying out spot-checks and start-up audits on installation,commissioning and refurbishment activities to confirm quality of execution
• Contribute and be key member of Asset team Hazop study
Requirements:
• Hold appropriate educational qualification
• He shall appropriate years direct experience in instrument field operations in the upstream hydrocarbon producing industry, in addition he shall also have minimum experience in the engineering area of Control & Automation.

Advise both the pilots (distance and speed) and the ship’s crew and mooring launch (rope and chain handling) during mooring and unmooring operations. Directly supervise vessel staff during the connection and disconnection of the loading hoses at the tanker manifold.
Safe tanker loading operations.
Monitor tanker-loading operations during periods of rest of the pilot. Monitor SPM distance and wind/weather conditions. Monitor safe loading operations. Call pilot when in doubt.
Maintenance of SPM incl. mooring gear and hoses.
Chef ‘d’equipe of SPM maintenance team. Work and material preparation in OLS/4 atelier. Loading of gear on SPM launch.
Execution of routine planned SPM maintenance and breakdown maintenance. Stock and spares control in atelier.
Maintenance of navigation equipment and lagoon lights.
Monthly inspection,maintenance and repair of lagoon and Nyanga navigational marks.
Maintenance of marine Oil spill clearance equipment.

MAIN CHALLENGES

• Attend all short,medium and long term integrated activity planning sessions and advise logistics section heads on forthcoming logistics needs to appropriately support Shell Gabon activities.
• Participate in building and managing the land transport annual budget.

• Plan and coordinate the execution of production and routine first line maintenance activities in oil/gas field,and ensuring that production targets are met and that wells,facilities maintenance and integrity requirements are satisfied.
• Drive the effective implementation of Operational Excellence (OE) Standard in own asset with emphasis on Maintenance,Integrity,Activity Planning and Work Preparation processes.
• Participate in OE reviews
• Execute routine production and maintenance operations and minor non-routine production and Maintenance activities as directed by his Team Leader.
• Coordinate and monitor the effectiveness of MIE process in own team and identify required improvements
• Ensure operational controls at the facilities to ensure and sustain continuous improvement in HSE performance
• Provide accurate data for production performance,reservoir management,statutory & business requirement.
• Operator of flow station,gas stations and associated assets in a safe and efficient manner in compliance with stipulated guidelines.
• Measure,validate and report production volumes accurately.
• Participate safely in plant shutdown as required
• Ensure that wells are tested and sampled as per the requirements of the reservoir management,validate and report the results.
• Take requested samples for analyses,take and record field data requested for general monitoring of plant performance.
• Execute the set programmes of minor routine equipment services as set out in the facility Manuals and Work Practices.
• Execute recommendations from performance improvement of individual assets
• Perform functional test of asset to ensure integrity in conjunction with team leader.
• Diagnose and rectify upsets in the plant or facilities.
• Carry out routine first line maintenance checks on all plant and process equipment.
• Operate plant-safeguarding systems located in the field.
• Maintain good housekeeping within the plant areas.
• Isolate and depressurize process equipment for maintenance as directed
• Hold After Action Review (A.A.R.) with team members on operational issues and challenges

Requirements:
Knowledge of relevant topics in physics, chemistry etc..that relates to hydrocarbons and how this can be used to explain temperature, pressure, density, viscosity, etc..) and their impact in the design & operation of production operation processing facilities .
Experience in hydrocarbon production related operations
HSE background and Ability to work in team
Ability to work with a multi-discipline production team. Good documentation skills
