RESPONSIBILITIES: • Oversee the development, management and implementation of a FP/RH program • Serve as the donor's main point of contact on the program • Lead intensive efforts to increase local technical, managerial, and leadership capacity through training, mentoring and on the job supervision for PSI local affiliates and local non-PSI social marketing organizations • Provide programmatic and technical support to marketing, communications and sales departments for reproductive health • Expand, monitor, and identify opportunities for increased efficiencies of distribution channels through public and private sector • Lead and monitor the development of marketing and annual work plans • Assist in design, implementation and oversight of research activities, working closely with research and marketing departments to assure research is driving an ‘evidence to action' approach to social marketing activities • Oversee and support local finance and administrative operations • Develop and manage donor budgets • Implement and strengthen organizational policies, procedures and systems • Coordinate and/or review donor reports, including financial and other reports as required by donors and PSI • Assist in the development of external relations, in particular with government, NGO, donors and the private sector • Assist the Country Representative with other duties as necessary Job Description - Requirements QUALIFICATIONS: • Relevant graduate degree (MBA, MIA, MPH, etc.) or equivalent experience in related field • At least five years of experience in programmatic and financial management of large donor funded RH/FP programs • At least 4 years of experience managing a team in a developing country • Knowledge of methodologies in research and marketing (communications and distribution) • Knowledge of consumer marketing concepts and approaches • In-depth knowledge of international development, reproductive health and family planning issues • Capacity-building experience in a developing country • Creativity and entrepreneurial outlook • Excellent oral and written communication skills • Ability to work efficiently and quickly in a fast paced environment Preference will be given to candidates with exceptional diplomatic skills and an understanding of PSI country platform contexts and operating realities. *Note that this position is contingent upon funding. Job Title:Chief of Party, Integrated Family Services, Benin* Requisition Number 1037 City Contonou Country Benin Job Description-Overview PSI seeks an experienced Chief of Party to plan and coordinate all activities under an anticipated USAID-funded project for integrated family health services (IFHS) in Benin beginning in late 2012. The project will have a strong focus on improving public and private health sectors’ performance and improving preventive and care seeking behavior for family planning and maternal and child health. The Chief of Party (COP) should have significant leadership, management and international development experience; a demonstrated track record in successfully managing government relations; a commitment to capacity building; a strong interest in private sector approaches to development; and experience successfully implementing international health programs centered around social marketing and behavior change communications. This position will be based in Cotonou, Benin will and will report to the Country Representative. RESPONSIBILITIES: Serve as main point of contact/representative of the USAID/Benin project Facilitate senior level policy and dialogue with the Ministries of Health, other donors and international and local partners. Ensure the effective use and coordination of USAID resources and the compliance of the financial systems and controls with USAID standards. Lead internal and external program planning and reporting including annual work planning with sub award partners.
