CARE seeks an Agriculture Development Adviser (ADA) for an upcoming program in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC). The purpose of this multi-sectoral program is to promote stable socioeconomic recovery in targeted communities in eastern DRC, especially in areas where SGBV and gender inequalities are considered major challenges to stability and reconciliation.

SUMMARY

The Agriculture Development Adviser (ADA) will directly oversee program implementation related to expanding economic opportunities in the agricultural sector such as provision of training in farming techniques and material support to farmers, as well as building mutually beneficial linkages between farmers, buyers, and transporters. The ADA will work closely with other program staff to ensure effective implementation and knowledge sharing, as well as working closely with community members. Job description

* Plan and implement the RRMP activities and ensure appropriate planning for Multi-Sector Assessments to be conducted in displacement/return areas;

NRC has been operating in Liberia since 2003, providing protection and assistance in the return and reintegration of refugees and internally displaced persons.
