The Senior Lecturer will be reporting to the Director, Higher Research Degrees.
Main Duties and Responsibilities

* Coordinating student registration in the Faculty;
* Liaising with Administrative Officers in the other units of the University;
* Servicing various Committees and Sub Committees of the Faculty;
* Supervising the typing and dispatching of examination papers;
* Undertaking the overall administration of the Faculty and
* Performing any other duties as may be delegated by the Dean.

Qualifications and Experience

* The incumbent should possess at least a Degree in Social Sciences, Administration, Commerce or Business Studies;
* A Masters Degree in a relevant field will be an added advantage;
* At least one year administrative experience will be required.

* Managing, editing and publishing a Higher Research Degrees Journal;
* Performing any other duties as may be assigned by the Director, Higher Research Degrees.

Qualifications and Experience

* Must possess a minimum qualification of a Doctoral degree from a recognized university;
* Must have a minimum experience of two (2) years supervision at both DPhil and MPhil levels;
* Must have published at least five (5) articles in referred journals;
* Possession of professorship is an added advantage.

* Assisting the Registrar in writing departmental and university reports;
* Responsible for Budgetary Control for Unit/ Cost Centre;
* Responding to general and routine correspondence from all stakeholders and;
* Performing any other duties that may be assigned by the Supervisor.

Qualifications and Experience

* A degree in Administration, Social Sciences, Commerce or Business Studies;
* A Masters Degree in a relevant field will be an added advantage;
* At least one year post qualification experience in a University set up in a senior administrative post;
* Proficiency in English and legal background experience will be an added advantage.

The Job

The incumbent should possess good leadership qualities, have knowledge of Distance Education, be highly motivated and committed to duty. The Dean Faculty of Information Technology and Multi-Media Communication will be reporting to the Pro-Vice Chancellor, Academic Affairs. The post will be offered on a four (4) year contract basis.

The Dean, Faculty of Information Technology and Multi-Media Communication will have the following key result areas;

* Lead the Faculty in initiating effective distance education delivery system, and andragogy and materials;
* Provide academic leadership in the areas of teaching, learning and research.
* Promote University wide initiatives;
* Develop a sense of community for the faculty students, academic and support staff;
* Income generation for the institution through faculty initiatives;
* Develop intra and inter-faculty interfaces to enable programme horizontal and vertical articulation to multi-skill the students;
* Ensure departments and faculty engage in research projects to contribute to new knowledge in the area of distance education and as part of service to the community;
* Develop effective marketing strategies for the University programmes to both the private and the public sectors;
* Perform any other duties as delegated by the immediate supervisor.

Qualifications and Experience

* The incumbent should be a professor with a PhD in the field of Information Technology;
* Sound knowledge of the Information and Technology disciplines;
* A track record of teaching, research and scholarship in higher education for at least three (3) years in an academic institution of which two (2) years must be at the level of Senior Lecturer, Chairperson or above;
* Knowledge and experience of Open Distance Learning will be an added advantage;
* Good knowledge and understanding of the higher education system and policy environment;
* Experience in strategic planning, financial and human resources management, proven attributes of transparency, integrity and teamwork.
