Job Title: Senior Supervisor HSE Operations

Responsibilities:

The purpose of the role is to advise and support Operations in managing HSE issues and improve Gamba HSE performance through the implementation of consistent HSE focus, systems and implementation standards within the Company. The key responsibility areas include:



- Support Operations in their day to day execution of HSE

- Provide overview of staff HSE Competency requirements and status of competency of all Shell Operations staff

- Prepare overview of competence status of staff and contractors in HSE Critical Positions

- Be the focal Point for implementation of HSE Training within Operations including maintenance of Training Status Register

- Provide the Induction for New Staff and Visitors to the Operations facilities

- Prepare and implement the Operations South HSE plan, implement and monitor the HSE plan

- Advise and Review Contractors HSE plans to follow the Shell Gabon HSE guidelines

- Communicate learning points from incident investigations

- Facilitate and attend the project team HSE meetings and toolbox meetings

Participate in daily Contractors operations meeting




Requirements:

- The ideal candidate must be a Graduate in Physical Sciences, Engineering or related fields with minimum of 5 years active experience in EP

- Have a good understanding of local, national and international regulatory and legislative regimes especially Safety and health laws

- Must possess effective communication and interpersonal skills to interact across levels throughout the company and the various external parties

- Candidate must be a Gabonese national and proficiency in English language is an advantage
